Welcome to the new website. It has taken me approximately a billion years to do anything here, but I've been busy producing books and looking after two small children. This site is designed to be very streamlined, and to cover information about my writing in all its incarnations. Feel free to email me or leave a comment on my blog or forum.

Kim's new YA historical romance, The Pearl Hunters, has just been released. It has already received positive reviews in Good Reading, Children's Bookseller and Publisher, and Viewpoint. It has just been sold to Penguin Razorbill in the United States.
The Veil of Gold (known in the UK and Australia as Rosa and the Veil of Gold) will be published in the US in July. It has already received starred reviews in Kirkus Reviews and Publishers Weekly.
Duet by Kimberley Freeman has been shortlisted for Australia's Romantic Book of the Year Award.
Upcoming: Kim reads juvenilia at Wordpool for the Queensland Writers Centre on July 9th. Details to follow.

Kim is writer-in-residence at Corpus Christi College in Nundah.
The Sunken Kingdom series is now published in Denmark and the United States.
